At the University of Oregon, it seems the football uniforms are always changing -- even if the alteration is subtle. Here's a look at the Ducks' game garb from up-to-date years, beginning with their current design. The most recent addition to the uniform appears to be an intimidating band of duck feathers.
It was a study in photographic discrepancy on Tuesday for the Oregon Ducks.
First, Nike unveiled the football program's new Combat Pro Uniforms. The high-tech unis will be donned by the Ducks on January 2nd when they play Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. The verdict? As you can see above, they are pretty menacing. As The Hollywood Gossip puts it: "Darth Vader suits up for the Rose Bowl!"
And so it was with great visual incongruity that on the same day Nike unveiled Oregon's scary uniforms, a player posted a photo of the team's star player looking, well, scared.
